compu... what?

hello again my fellow bloggers :)
fulfilling the first assignment i will describe my experience with computers... hang on it's gonna be a time-travel!
it was the year 1986... no, that's when i was born... hmmm it was the year... 1988? or 1989 i don't remember when was i first allowed to play games on our wonderful, beloved zx spectrum timex... yes those were beautiful times when we used to spend the entire evenings playing "kokotoni" or "jumping jack"... later my brother found "bajtek" magasines somewhere on the shelf... i think i was six or seven then... and we started re-writing whole sequences of numbers and commands of games to realise there is a mistake somewhere and the game we wanted to play couldn't possibly work... i remember spending the whole night to play "the hobbit", cuz we had maps for it from "bajtek", but the game never worked...:( on the other hand, thanks to this me, my brother and our friends learned some basics of BASIC :P... than something broke in the mid 90's and we got the legendary c64 from our aunt, but it wasn't the same.
a more up to date experience with computers in my life happend when my older sister first brought a laptop from work... windows 3.11- that was SOMETHING :) and so it started- the window revolution:P
in the meantime my brother became a real geek knowing all about computers and it is he who forced me to use the great penguin, as i call linux to get him angry... this software, though a bit confusion may appear when we compare using it to using ms, is a lot better then windows... in my opinion at least ;P
okay, enough of this dull story... i still think that zx spectrum was the best of all computers...but you'll never know probably... :*

It would be interesting if you could show us how Linux works, e.g. in one of our IT classes. If you have a laptop, perhaps you could do it? Think about it - that way you could win a few more followers of Microsoft's strongest competition ;)
